Here's Izman, the Travel Manager (Asia) from the Entertainer, sharing with us more on the Hot Summer Nights Promotion.

Why I like using The Entertainer app!

1. Easy mobile interface, which lets you select the kinds of offers you are looking for. In the case of Hot Summer Nights promotion, select 'Travel' for all travel offers!

2. No kidding. It's really easy to find deals whereever you are! Just click on the 'Map' button and zoom in to where ever you are to find all sorts of deals around that area!
Here! I found The Bank Bar + Bistro on the map. :D
3. In the case of The Bank Bar + Bistro, they have offers on their main menu for The Entertainer app's members, do check it out if you are nearby.

An example of how the offer looks like:
4. Do you see an UBER button? They have partnered with Uber taxi, so whereever you are (in a particular restaurant, for example), just press the Uber taxi button and an available taxi will come right to the best available entrance of the restaurant! (HOW COOL IS THAT, MY TAXI LOVER PALS!) Pardon the caps, too excited lah.

5. Also, they give you a quick estimate on how much you've saved thus far, by using their app for cool 1-for-1 deals!
6. For travels, they provide offers on many 4-star and 5-star hotels around the Middle East, Europe, Asia, Indian Ocean and Africa! Some destinations include: Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Jordan, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Egypt, Thailand, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Sri Lanka, Mauritius and the Maldives.
Just select the country you wish to travel to under the various regions stated.

Here's an example of the countries listed under 'Asia'.

7. When you click into the country you are travelling to, you can easily find many many hotels (all 4 and 5-star ones hor!) listed under the country. In this instance, I'm looking at the available hotels in Thailand!

One of the destination: Dubai! I got my friend, who was living there, to send me these photos she took of the amazing city! Visit these lovely places when you travel with the Entertainer, getting most value out of your trip!

Burj Khalifa - The tallest building in the world. The Burj Khalifa skyscraper is a world-class destination and the magnificent centerpiece of Downtown Dubai, Dubai's new urban masterpiece.

Desert Safari DubaiThe most popular desert safari in Dubai.

Dubai Mall AquariumThe 10-million litre Dubai Aquarium tank, located on the Ground Level of The Dubai Mall, is one of the largest suspended aquarium in the world. It houses thousands of aquatic animals, comprising over 140 species. Over 300 Sharks and Rays live in this tank, including the largest collection of Sand Tiger Sharks in the world.

Procacci Brunch

Procacci Brunch
And so, we gathered at Procacci in Customs House on a Saturday morning for a food tasting session. :)

Originating from Florence, Italy, PROCACCI Singapore at Customs House offers tranquility and a stunning view over-looking the Marina Bay Skyline. Italian fine-dining cuisine is brought to higher standards with luscious food paired with an extensive selection of premium wines.
On a side note, there are only 3 procacci branches in the world, and one of them is in Singapore! Each branch differ slightly, and for the Singapore branch, it's the first procacci branch outside Europe!

Posh and elegant interior, very comfortable for dining.

You can choose to sit outside as well, for a lovely Marina Bay view!

Let's Eat!

Uova Strapazatta con Funghi ($20)
Made up of scambled eggs, saute mushrooms, rustica toast and broccoli.  I found this dish to be on the average, though I did like the simple idea of mushrooms and eggs.

Fritattate al Tartufo ($22)
One of my favourite dishes of the day! The smooth egg frittata went so well with the white truffle cream! Super yummy! This dish was well-received and we all whacked it as soon as we finished snapping. Teehee!

Pollo Grigliato ($20)
I loved the super crispy bacon, eggs and grilled chicken breast. Though I'm not really a ciabatta toast lover, for some reason, but overall, this is another dish that I do like!

Fumo Salmone ($20)
Smoked salmon, fried egg, ricotta cheese and ciabatta toast. Have I already mentioned that smoked salmon is my favourite? Lovers of ricotta cheese can try this as well. They were very generous with its servings.

Salsiccia Italiano ($26)
My takeaway from eating this dish: the grilled sausages very shiok! I would recommend this dish to those who loves a good sausage in the morning. Also includes rustica toast, fried egg and arrabbiata sauce. Tomato-ey, please. A pleasant eat indeed.

Procacci Delizia ($30)
I loved (x3) the scrambled eggs. They were cooked so well and were runny just the way I love them. They also have parma ham included in the mix to pump up the saltiness. Also consists mortadella, taleggio cheese and rustica toast. This is so big, it can be shared by 2!

Uovo Benedetto ($22)
We also had the all-time favourite: poached eggs and bacon! Could anything go wrong? Sorry, cannot lor, This dish also consists of caviar! How luxurious please! Plus the addition of hollandaise sauce, super lovely!

Well, let us break it down for you:
As you can see, the egg wasn't very flowy, so that's bad news for #eggporners. But of course, I have a soft spot for benedicts, hence this was one of my favourite dishes after all as I already mentioned, yummy!

Here's a photo of me enjoying the Prosecco wine from Antinori Wineyard owned by Procacci (Italy). Enjoy a free flow of Prosecco when you hit $35 on all brunch orders!
Cheers to Openrice Singapore and Procacci Singapore, who generously organised this session.

Rich & Good Cake Shop (裕佳西饼店)

Rich & Good Cake Shop (裕佳西饼店)
Today, I decided to have the swiss rolls from the famous Rich & Good Cake Shop (裕佳西饼店)! Despite the sold-out all-time favourite (Kaya) flavour, people still joined the long queue.
I bought 3 flavours - Mandarin Orange, Durian and Coffee. Each costed $8.
One long roll can be cut into 6 thick pieces, just nice for sharing with friends or family!

Mandarin Orange Flavour - The mandarin orange flavour was apparent throughout the swiss roll, the cake was fluffy and and the cream, with the zest from the flesh of the fruit was such a lovely combination!
Here's a frontal shot of my favourite flavour, out of the 3 which I bought! Really love this!
Durian - All time favourite for durian lovers, as the durian taste was strong and aromatic, but yet went well with the cream. Real bits of the durian also upped its overall value!
Coffee flavour - hints of coffee filled the roll, but would taste nicer if it were to be slightly stronger.

Overall, I did like the 3 flavours, but the mandarin orange flavour really worked the best for me! I loved its fragrance and the fluffiness of the cake. Definitely one of the best swiss rolls in Singapore, and I will be back to try the kaya (and buy another one of the Mandarin Orange Flavoured swiss roll!)

SkinLab The Medical Spa

SkinLab The Medical Spa
I was invited to Skinlab The Medical Spa late last month for a facial session. When I got there, I was greeted by a lovely, clean and bright storefront.
After speaking to the consultant, I went ahead with the Salicylic Acid Peel Facial. Don't worry! It's not as scary as it sounds. This Salicylic Acid Peel facial is the new generation facial treatment for improving the appearance of the skin, and its exfoliation power is gentle yet powerful (I tried level 1).

I was led to a bright and white room as well, its interior design style seems to go for the pure and clean look, just as your skin should really be. lol.

A photo of my beauty therapist and I, before the treatment.

About the facial:
Salicylic Acid Peel Facial breaks down the protein bonds between the layers of skin. For those suffering from acne and oily skin, this peel is a highly effective treatment as it acts as an anti-inflammatory which helps to immediately reduce the inflammation of the acne. It is oil-soluble and lipophilic so it penetrates sebum filled follicles and helps to unclog pores, loosen and lift out blackheads, even out skin tone, and prevent future outbreaks.
I took a photo of my before and after, here's showing some of my skin (without makeup) from some of my nose to some cheek.
Can you see a visible difference in the skin texture? I took the 'after' photo right after the facial, and there was no redness, and the facial was effective in improving my overall facial texture as the facial does exfoliate both the skin's surface and within the pores.

Results were pretty instant. So you can see that the 'before' photo, I had more obvious blackheads on my nose, whereas in the 'after' photo, it is quite clean, and all that remains are my usual, huge pores (*sulk*).

Me after the facial (without makeup). No redness after facial! (Leave my messy hair out of this! LOL)
This facial can help with those who have these problems:
- Oily skin
- Acne
- Blackheads
- Whiteheads
- Fine lines
- Premature ageing
- Uneven skin tone

FYI: I have combination skin, with an oilier t-zone area.

I also liked that this facial targets areas I'm concerned about, which is to rid my skin of surplus sebum, bacteria and inflammation from deep inside the pores of the skin.

My therapist was patient to answer my queries during the facial and she was gentle on my face and advised me on what I should do at home to improve my skin condition as well.

All the beauty therapists have a minimum of five years experience both locally and abroad, plus all certified training, and they are knowledgeable when I approached them on my questions for the facial and my skin condition.
