Winter Organics Chamomile Facial Cleanser

Before I received this cleanser for review, I've already used one bottle and loved it. This gentle cleanser is meant for all skin types, including sensitive and eczema skin, because of its organic properties. This is mainly because the facial cleanser doesn't contain any harsh chemicals.

I also loved how the brand only uses biodegradable plastic for their tubes to minimise the impact on the environment.

Face feels clean and without makeup residue after I've used it! :)

This is mainly targeted for 18 years old and above, and costs SGD$22 for 100ml.

Kam's Roast 甘牌烧味 serves Michelin-starred roast meats in Singapore from tomorrow

Earlier this week, I finally had the dinner I've been looking forward to for a long time: Kam's Roast 甘牌烧味! It was exciting as, during the media launch, I got to meet some of the family members who also came to Singapore to grace the opening of the famous Hong Kong roasted meat eatery.

Singapore is the first outlet outside HongKong. (lucky us!) A household brand renowned for its roast meats, you can expect the same quality and standards for the dishes.

The appetisers were pretty good and, well of course, appetising. Especially liked the marinated black fungus with vinegar (香醋黑木耳, $6.80) which was crunchy and delectable, like a snack that you will not get enough of.

As some of you might already know, despite being famous for its roasted goose meat, Kam's Roast would not be able to serve it in Singapore due to regulatory restrictions. Hence, in place of goose meat, we now have roasted duck - also much to my satisfaction!

The roast duck (甘牌烧鸭) and soya chicken (桶子油鸡) is really good, the meat is juicy and tender and the sauce that comes with it is extremely addictive and good to have with some rice. The mixed portion goes for $11.80.

Corporate events, birthday parties or CNY celebrations? No problem, get the whole duck for $48 or $14.80 for the whole chicken!

Another thing you might like to note is how, finishing the roast duck is akin to finding some treasure hidden beneath it - specially flavoured soya beans are packed below the meat and it meant to be eaten after you've finished the duck. Crunchy, we couldn't help but continue popping it into our mouths while washing our palate with some hot chinese tea.

We also tried the Roast Suckling Pig / Crispy Roast Pork 化皮乳猪 / 脆皮腩仔. Any one who loves to eat roasted meat knows that the essence are all in the skin. The crispy skins here do not disappoint.

And presenting you my favourite dish of the night: The 'Toro' Char Siu (BBQ Pork Belly 肥浓叉烧, $22.80)!

Omgoodness, they used premium pork belly for this, please see my instagram post below for more details. I totally love this and would some back simply for this! For a leaner, but still delicious option, go for the regular char siu (蜜汁叉烧) at $14.80 per portion.

[Noob Tip: Tastes best when you eat it as soon as it's served.]

肥猪腩肉, 男人的浪漫! 💙💙💙 Well, last night's dinner was super awesome. We got to try their signature 'Toro' Char Siu, which was a melt-in-the-mouth delight. Seasoned with Kam family's award-winning marinade, the smoky sweet flavours play in your mouth as you munch on a perfect balance of fat and meat. Well known as Kam's Roast in Hong Kong, you can now have a taste of their awesome meats (except for goose meat) in Singapore, when they launch tomorrow (1pm) at @pacificplazasg (next to Royal Plaza on Scotts). 💙💙💙 Please go and try this, especially the Toro Char Siu! My absolute favourite - retails for $22.80 per portion. 💙💙💙 Many thanks to @kamsroast_sg and @brandcellar for the invitation for the media preview last night! 💙💙💙 #甘牌燒鵝 #甘牌 #Kamsroast #kamsroastsg #michelinstar #michelinrestaurant #叉燒 #charsiu

For carbs, try their braised noodle with ginger scallion (姜葱捞面, $6.80). It's lovely and made the true hongkong noodle way, with a nice al dente bite to it.

If you're ready to proceed to desserts, may I recommend the red bean soup with aged orange peel (陈皮红豆沙, $5.80)? Anyway, it's the only dessert they serve in-house, but you're not going to regret it. Known as chen pi (陈皮) or sun-dried tangerine peel, the ingredient gives the dessert and overall distinctive flavour and takes the dessert up another notch! To be honest, using chen pi is not new in chinese dishes and I was glad to see this awesome ingredient being used. The light red bean soup also served as a perfect ending to the meal.

Kam's Roast Singapore will be opening its doors tomorrow (19 Nov, Sat) at 1pm. Be there or be square!

Blisshouse Theme Restaurant to celebrate a blissful day
[Update 2018: Blisshouse has since officially ceased operations.]

It had been almost a month since my birthday in October, but memories of the celebration with my family and friends are still so fresh and sweet!

One of the places my family brought me to was Blisshouse Theme Restaurant. The place was so lovely, you'll feel like you just stepped into a garden for your meal.

Many good spots for photos here! You can tell that many people have held their ROMs, birthday parties, and even hens night here. I don't know why, but the next table was having a sort-of hens night. Lol.

For Korean drama 'Descendants of the sun' fans, you might like these 2 cuties.

Wedding solemnizations are sometimes held here, I heard.
Me with a huge teddy bear - celebrating me, because, I'm me.
My sister gave me this, love this so much! Words cannot express how important my sister is to me, and she's one of life's best gifts to me.
The food here was perhaps average, passable, though of course they are mostly selling their themed restaurant. I guess you could say for a themed restaurant, their food is pretty alright, highly than average.

My Muslim friends can also choose to come here as this place is halal. :)

Honestly though, I liked the fish dishes. When you're here, that's one choice you can go with. And you know what, don't bother ordering the truffle fries, that's one dish that's way below my standard.

When we visited on a Saturday night, it wasn't very packed at all. I guess you could just walk in, no problem. :) But if you wish to make reservations, check out their details below!

Overall, I really enjoyed this place and I wish to thank my family for making it so memorable for me. I guess it's also who you visit with, so if you want to feel like you're in bliss, go with people you love and snap many memories with their awesome photo props!
