Support local arts and enjoy yourself at the Jam!

Hey, my beautiful blog readers!

Just a quick highlight that I will be going to The Jam tomorrow, a Pangdemonium fundraiser, as part of the DBS Sparks fan treat!

Sparks, by DBS, is an industry-first mini-series that follows a group of young bankers as they navigate work and personal lives. Inspired by true stories, they challenge the status quo and go above and beyond when solving unusual client challenges. Through this mini-series, DBS hopes to convey the true meaning of banking, and to challenge the perception that banking is only about transactions.

Since launching in February 2016, Sparks Episodes 1-6 and their trailers have garnered more than 58 million views and over 5.5 million digital engagements across the region.

Currently with their newest episode 7 addition, SPARKS has collaborated with many celebrities from Michael Wong, Lin Ching-Tai, Carl Ng and in the latest episode of Sparks saw an all Singapore cast including Jaime Teo, Daren Tan, Noorlinah Mohamed and of course Nathan Hartono!

You can check out Sparks here at www.dbs.com/sparks.

Well, I'm pretty excited to watch Nathan perform live at Pangdemonium’s fundraiser concert – THE JAM on 1 Sep, at 8.30pm (at the Esplanade Concert Hall)!

A Better Florist – Exquisite Floral Arrangements for All Singaporeans

Today, in this guest post, A Better Florist shares a little more on themselves and how they manage to stand out in the crowded flower business in Singapore.

A Better Florist is a highly successful team of creative florists that took Singapore’s floristry scene by a storm. The way they approached this business was unlike anything we’ve seen before, but this new approach has really transformed the floral scene of the sunny island of Singapore.

For starters, when you look at A Better Florist from a purely superficial perspective, you’ll be faced with chic and modern flower bouquets and arrangements that stand out from the rest with their trendy design. Whether it’s the cute Mason jar, or a burlap wrapping, each bouquet tells a different story and has a different message. Looking for bouquets with that WOW factor? Well, this just might be the place to be.

The bouquets of the best florist in Singapore are clearly designed with more detail and passion, than any other bouquet you would find at your normal, local florist. Although flowers are beautiful on their own, A Better Florist found a way combine the best of blooms and make them even more stunning.

The talented and creative team of A Better Florist is an appealing advantage, but definitely not the only perk that comes with shopping at A Better Florist.

One of the tabs on their mission to change the floristry scene was to have best flower delivery service in Singapore that is able to cater to customers every day, with no exceptions. That way if you need a Valentine’s Day flower delivery in Singapore, or on any other special occasion, you don’t have to fear that they won’t be able to come through.

The best flower delivery in Singapore is available every day, and can deliver to just about any corner of the sunny island. In fact, if you order early on in the day, they can deliver within only 90 minutes, making them undoubtedly the most quick flower delivery service and you, the most satisfied customer in Singapore.

And as cherry on the top comes the information that they over cheap flower delivery in Singapore, one of the most affordable ones that you will find.

While seeing amazing reviews and testimonials online was enough, I always recommend doing a little bit of extra research just to make sure that they are reliable and trustworthy. A couple of clicks later I found that they also have Dubai flowers and Hong Kong flowers shop, and that they have made the list as the best florist in Hong Kong. Not only have they conquered Singapore, they also have the best flower delivery in Hong Kong

They have a very convenient online shop, where you can order by making a couple of clicks, and you don’t even have to struggle with the choices – it’s all displayed neatly for every visitor to the site to see. If you want a more hands on experience, A Better Florist can be found on multiple locations, such as the florist in Bugis and many other locations.

We’re excited to see more from A Better Florist, and what kind of blooms they are going to create next.

Ramen Champion's Clarke Quay restaurant introduces pink ramen for photo win

Ramen Champion's Clarke Quay restaurant introduces pink ramen for photo win
For some of us who have visited the other Ramen Champion outlets before, you'd know that it's pretty much a self service restaurant.

With its newest restaurant which opened in Clarke Quay, that's going to change. Introducing their very first full-service restaurant, where you just sit back and relax as the wait staff serves you all the way. This new outlet houses popular Japanese ramen brands, including Tonkotsu Ikkyu, Menya Ryu, Buta Goh and Joshoken.

This restaurant sits up to 110 people at any one time and also serves other dishes from rice bowls, sashimi, sushi to grilled items and desserts!

This outlet also offers a free-flow salad bar, offering more than 20 salad starters. To enjoy this unlimited offering, just top up $4 with every main course order!

The view here is also pretty nice as diners get to enjoy the Singapore River view along with their dinner.

We got to try some interesting dishes like the Special Tonkotsu Pink Ramen ($15.80), Salmon Tower Maki ($21.80), Fisherman Don ($21.80), Mentai Gyoza ($6.80), Magma Ramen ($14.80)'s level 5 and level 20 versions.

The pink ramen is so insta pretty! But don't you mistake that for fake colouring, as all ingredients used are natural. The colouring is derived from a mixture of blueberries and beetroot, and some of you might be cringing like I did when I heard blueberries, but it's actually pretty palatable!

One of our favourites for the night is the Salmon Tower Maki, which is overloaded with fresh salmon sashimi cubes, ikura, ebiko, crabstick, cucumber and chopped shiso leaf. We loved this!

As for the Magma Ramen, I can't say it's my favourite because I'm not much of a spice eater. However, level 20 gets extremely spicy for me (levels go up in multiples of 5). I spoke to a blogger who is super into spicy stuff and she says level 20 was a little spicy for her, level 5 was still okay. I can just look on as she slurps it up.

The Fisherman Don featured a blanket of various sashimi mix which are air-flown from Japan's Tsukiji Market. To enjoy this fisherman don, just add blended sauce of miso, sesame, wasabi and soy sauce to the bowl. Once you are done with half the bowl, mix in the hot dashi soup made of bonito and kombu and slurp it up!
