Soi 55 arrives at The Cathay

Let every Thai Milk Tea fan rejoice, as they are now officially able to bring Soi 55's milk tea into the cinemas at The Cathay.
After much fanfare from Thai Milk Tea fans at their Golden Shoe Raffles Place's branch, I am glad I now get to also get it here, as they officially open shop on 19 September 2015.

Let’s Eat!
I heard from my friend that the Thai Green Milk Tea is quite sweet and that he preferred the original Thai Milk Tea better. Honestly, I was worried because I didn't like my milk teas overly sweet. So, I reflected my worry to the counter staff and she nicely let me have a sample of the Thai Green Milk Tea ($3.90 for cup, $4.90 for bottle), which was actually her favourite and which she also highly recommended over the popular Thai Milk Tea.

After tasting it, I went with the Thai Green milk tea because I felt it really wasn't too sweet, and it was the right consistency of liquidy smoothness. The flavour was pretty good as well and the cup was really big!

I also added one of their toppings, sago, into my cup, but unfortunately, the sago was not very well cooked, and I thought my Thai Green Milk Tea could go better without it.
My friend had the Thai Milk Coffee and I thought it was pretty good too. Try that. If you don't want it too sweet, that can be adjusted to your liking too.

Their menu consists of Thai Milk Tea, Thai Rose Milk Tea, Thai Green Milk Tea and Thai Milk Coffee, all going for $3.90 for the cup version. Those who like their drinks bottled can choose so by topping up $1 for it.

Available toppings and their prices:
  • Pearls, $0.50
  • Sago, $0.60
  • Chinchow, $0.70
  • Red Ruby, $1
  • Hashima, $2.80
