I was invited to Skinlab The Medical Spa late last month for a facial session. When I got there, I was greeted by a lovely, clean and bright storefront.
After speaking to the consultant, I went ahead with the Salicylic Acid Peel Facial. Don't worry! It's not as scary as it sounds. This Salicylic Acid Peel facial is the new generation facial treatment for improving the appearance of the skin, and its exfoliation power is gentle yet powerful (I tried level 1).
I was led to a bright and white room as well, its interior design style seems to go for the pure and clean look, just as your skin should really be. lol.

About the facial:
Can you see a visible difference in the skin texture? I took the 'after' photo right after the facial, and there was no redness, and the facial was effective in improving my overall facial texture as the facial does exfoliate both the skin's surface and within the pores.
Results were pretty instant. So you can see that the 'before' photo, I had more obvious blackheads on my nose, whereas in the 'after' photo, it is quite clean, and all that remains are my usual, huge pores (*sulk*).

FYI: I have combination skin, with an oilier t-zone area.

My therapist was patient to answer my queries during the facial and she was gentle on my face and advised me on what I should do at home to improve my skin condition as well.
All the beauty therapists have a minimum of five years experience both locally and abroad, plus all certified training, and they are knowledgeable when I approached them on my questions for the facial and my skin condition.

For those suffering from acne and oily skin, this peel is a highly effective treatment as it acts as an anti-inflammatory which helps to immediately reduce the inflammation of the acne.
