Delato, opened its doors just last August and is quickly becoming a favorite of Tampines residents. Specializing in handcrafted Sicilian-style gelato and delightful mochi waffles, Delato offers a unique dessert experience for residents near Tampines Street 43.
The cafe boasts a cozy ambiance and serves up 12 daily gelato flavors, including the Maple Walnut Pie, Cereal Milk Chocolate Swirls, and the locally inspired Kopi Toast flavor.
Priced at SGD$4.20 for regular flavors and SGD$5 for premium ones, the gelato can be paired with the original waffles or go for the special Matcha Mochi Waffle, which has an crispy exterior, chewy mochi middle with green tea notes! I'm a basic girlie and so I do love my vanilla flavors, and I love it here at Delato, too!
Not to miss out: for a limited time only, Delato also introduces the Prosperity Red Velvet Waffle, shaped like Chinese coins, to celebrate the Chinese New Year! Priced at SGD$7, this special treat is made with Dutch-processed cocoa powder and traditional ang ku kueh red food coloring.
The CNY red velvet waffle colors showcase a red velvet and original buttermilk yellow, symbolizing the start of the new year with wealth and joy. Best enjoyed with Delato's rich and velvety handcrafted ice creams, the Prosperity Red Velvet Waffle is available only during January and February 2024 (subject to availability and change).
