Fenty Beauty by Rihanna and EM Cosmetics Lip Cloud: Review!

Fenty Beauty by Rihanna and EM Cosmetics Lip Cloud: Review!

Today I'm reviewing my new purchases from Fenty Beauty by Rihanna!

If you've read my Fenty Beauty by Rihanna first look post, you'll know I'm kinda already in love with their foundation and their match stix (highlighter stick).

Yes, as soon as it hit the shelves, I bought the Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation (Shade 170, Light Cool) and the Match Stix Highlighter Stick (Yacht Lyfe shade).

The foundation comes in a slim frosted glass bottle with a white plastic cap and feels a little heavy. It contains about 32ml of product. Before use, you're supposed to shake well and dispense, I applied it with a sponge.

On a side note, I used the multi-angle makeup sponge puff from Too School For Cool to apply this and I'm totally lovin' it!

Of course, if you don't already own your own multi-angle sponge puff, you can consider getting one from Fenty Beauty by Rihanna as well - It's the Precision Makeup Sponge #100.

I really liked the foundation because I just had to dispense one pump and it was sufficient coverage for the full face, and you know, I have a big face, so it was great! This product is a mid to full coverage, and I really felt that it was good to use for our Singapore weather: humid, hot and sweaty.

After applying it, I didn't really have to finish off with loose powder and very quickly it set quite well. I also loved that this product did not oxidise.

Here's the ingredient list, if you require:

Aqua/water/eau, Dimethicone, Talc, Peg-10 Dimethicone, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Polypropylene, Isododecane, Cetyl Peg/ppg-10/1 Dimethicone, Nylon-12, Hdi/trimethylol Hexyllactone Crosspolymer, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Chloride, Hydrogen Dimethicone, Glycerin, Magnesium Sulfate, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Aluminum Hydroxide, Methicone, Benzoic Acid, Dehydroacetic Acid, Propylene Carbonate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Parfum/fragrance, Silica, Biosaccharide Gum-4, Ananas Sativus (Pineapple) Fruit Extract, Carica Papaya (Papaya) Fruit Extract, Paullinia Cupana Seed Extract, Potassium Sorbate, Sorbic Acid. May Contain/peut Contenir (+/-): Titanium Dioxide (Ci 77891), Iron Oxides (Ci 77491, Ci 77492, Ci 77499)

Next up, I really liked the colours from Match Stix series. There were so many to choose from, but being a basic girl who sticks to her colours, I went with a pink rose gold shimmer shade - Yacht Lyfe.

Applying this was pretty simple, after the foundation has settled down, I just swiped this on my cheeks and blended it out with my own brush. It was really easy to blend and the fact that it has a creamier texture (it being a stick) means that it'll last longer on your face than the Killawatt powder highlighters.

Of course, for the super shimmer radiant look, you can top it up with the killawatt powder highlighters, yes, on top of using the Match Stix highlighters!

It seems that each shade has its own ingredient list, so I'm just gonna post Yacht Lyfe's here:

Ethylhexyl Isononanoate, Mica, Octyldodecanol, Polymethyl Methacrylate, Sucrose Acetate Isobutyrate, C20-40 Alcohols, Tribehenin, Paraffin, Polyethylene, Vp/eicosene Copolymer, Vp/hexadecene Copolymer, Diisostearyl Malate, Cera Microcristallina/microcrystalline Wax/cire Microcristalline, Caprylyl Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Hexylene Glycol, Tocopherol, Isostearyl Alcohol, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Malic Acid, Calcium Sodium Borosilicate, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Calcium Aluminum Borosilicate, Polyethylene Terephthalate, Acrylates Copolymer, Silica, Tin Oxide, Iron Oxides (Ci 77491), Titanium Dioxide (Ci 77891), Yellow 6 Lake (Ci 15985), Carmine (Ci 75470), Red 7 Lake (Ci 15850)

This was my complete look after the full makeup. Oh yes, I also wanted to take some time to mention EM Cosmetics Infinite Lip Cloud in this review.

Can I just say that it's name is damn apt? Lip Cloud, yes, lips felt soft, velvety and 'fluffy' after application! And I'm a matte girl, so this matte Lip Cloud worked wonders for me. Just have to make sure that lips are well moisturised before applying any matte lip product, as usual.

For this makeup look, I used the Muted Mauve shade from EM Cosmetics (USD$16). Application was so smooth and easy, and as the lip colour settled on my lips, it didn't feel drying to the lips at all. Like I said, soft as a cloud! Love it. They've described this shade as a dusty rose, and I feel it's so, so pretty.

Unfortunately, EM Cosmetics are not sold in Singapore, the only way is to ship it girl!

If you wanna try and you're a matte girl like me, I definitely say, 'Go for it.'
