Review: Tarteist Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint

Review: Tarteist Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint

When I got these and applied them for the first time, I got no idea why I went retro and started humming Beyonce's Crazy in Love. Yes, you know it, sing it!

'Cuz baby you got me, you got me, so crazy baby HEY!

Enough with that. Now on to the lippies. These lippies are gorgeous. The packaging of the lippie itself feels classy and looks pretty with all that gold text.

I bought the shades XOXO and BLING (6ml each). Each cost about SGD$32.

If you build the colour on your lips, it would become very vibrant. But for work, I like to keep it down a notch without losing colour. Hence, I usually apply some colour on my lower lip and brush it out to the rest of my lips before the entire thing dries. So far it has worked well for me, ensuring a long lasting lip colour that doesn't fade too easily for more than half the day (if I don't eat oily foods).

It dries very quickly, within 20 seconds. The lippie provides full coverage. The application process was very smooth as well.

For cracked lips, I suggest you moisturise first before applying this. The lippie doesn't feel very dry, but its matte finish highlights the cracks on your lips.

I love this lippie because it feels light after applying it and the lippie is well pigmented! I also like that this lippie is formulated without parabens and phthalates. This product is also vegan friendly. :)

Here's how a one time full lip application looks on me. Both photos were taken under slightly different lighting circumstances, if you were wondering why my photo colours look different.
