A couple of us visited a Sample Store event, Giftopia, held at Raffles City Atrium (level 3) this morning. It ended up being much fun, and here are some highlights from various stores that interested us!

Inexpensive, unique and with a kiss of all the tribal feels, this handmade accessories store caught our eye with their lovely bracelets. You can be sure that each bracelet was made from scratch and classified into various themes (the dreamer, kinship, goddess, seeker, etc) that you will definitely identify yourself with, at least, one of them.

A trained teacher who began her journey in the world of clay had her beginnings from a handbuilding class in year 1999. Since then, she has amassed an experience studying and learning from ceramics masters in various countries. Her products are lovely and now as an experienced teacher, she also conducts pottery workshops / classes for those interested in the art of ceremics creation.

My friends went crazy after seeing that a temporary stencil hand-drawn tattoo art was available and had not regretted waiting in line to get their temporary 'tatts' from Christopher and his friend, Martin. The results were lovely and Christopher can be contacted from his facebook page or Instagram if you also wish to get real ones.

I'm loving this brand as they are currently donating 15% of their proceeds to the Breast Cancer Foundation for their limited edition 'Check Them Buns' brush kit ($119). The Singapore brand was created in year 2013 to produce synthetic brushes which are kind to the animals! What's more, the brushes feel really good and the brush pouches (travel pouch shown below) are really pretty!

Love comics? Your childhood was awesome. Now you can take a piece of your favourite comic characters with you. These items are made with cutouts from real comic pages from, yes, real comic books. A new local brand which launched its products at the start of year 2016: Each of their products contain skin loving ingredients such as argan oil, aloe vera leaf extracts, raspberry fruit extracts, grapefruit fruit extracts, vitamin B5, vitamin E and are kept at a constant pH5.5 which is great at its moisture keeping properties. One of the products which interested me was its lotions, which was available at varying levels of 'oiliness'. I liked the watery texture of its 0% oiliness lotion as it was moisturising and moisturising without any, well, oiliness.

Made in Australia, this skincare brand caught our eyes with the upcoming trend: Coffee Body Scrub and its multi-purpose Pure Emu Oil (with a choice of Lavender or unscented). We loved its Pure Emu Oil (tried and tested) as we were able to use it on any part of our body, from head to toe. Though it was oil, it was absorbed very quickly into the skin and the skin was moisturised so well. It can even be used when you have breakouts (but this varies from person to person). Still, we love it for its multi-usability.

Now, minimalism is the in thing. We loved how these accessories had a nice feel to it and what's more: these simple yet attractive jewelry are also available for customisation at request.

The creation of two childhood friends who have had years in graphic design translated into a business full of messages of love and happiness.
