Izy Dining & Bar in Club Street
For my recent birthday lunch, I visited IZY for the first time. The walls sported graphics that represented a mix of Japanese pop culture characteristics while the bar facing the walls had a classier, chillax-ed look to it.

Loved how they also considerately catered bag hooks for the ladies sitting at the bar side.

We ordered from the lunch set menu. My friend ordered a Kaisen-chirashi don set ($25). The set includes truffle oil salad, chawanmushi and miso soup.

Interestingly, they used organic Nai bai (奶白菜, Milk Cabbage) for the salad. It was pretty much my first Nai Bai (奶白菜, Milk Cabbage) salad experience, to be honest.

Love how they grilled their meats in a charcoal oven, to provide their meats a light smoky flavour.

And guess that's how I ended up with the recommended premium set - Wagyu Truffle don ($40). The beef was succulent and flavourful, coupled with the light shaved truffle, which made it pretty rich for lunch. Similarly, the set also came with the same sides as the premium set.

When we finished our meal, they served a complimentary dessert - wait a sec - this time: savoury. Surprisingly it tasted really delectable: their grilled meat slice and fried yam, served with truffle salt (say what?). It was really a perfect ending to a lovely lunch. :)

The Club Boutique Hotel Celebrates Its First Anniversary

The Club is located in a vibrant area filled with jazzy bars around the Chinatown area. Staying here is never going to be boring because of the nightlife that comes to life in the area. Located near Chinatown, the boutique hotel just celebrated its first year anniversary with the launch of a new dining concept.

Staycation promo available at the end of post.
Read on or scroll down to bottom of post to enjoy!

Newly launched, The Disgruntled Brasserie has a sumptuous and wallet-friendly menu - from hearty breakfasts, lunches and even down to that dinner drink - which will not leave its guests unsatisfied.

Be sure to also notice the revamped decor at the eatery that pays tribute to The Club's iconic heritage location with a photo wall featuring pictures of local hawkers and street traders.

If you're a hotel guest, well, lucky you.

The boutique hotel has an up class interior that will make you, well, feel classy.

With 20 luxurious rooms, including 2 club suites which are designed by award winning design firm Hassell Studio, the choice of furniture to curated art that line their hallways and luxury handmade beds from HYPNOS, down to the bath and body toiletries from The Bamford Body Collection, yes, you know the night's gonna be comfortable.

When you're in a need for some recharging, you can also head down to the basement of The Club, where you'll find the renowned underground whiskey bar, B28. Known as a gentleman's club, here you'll be able to enjoy their extensive list of Scottish Single Malts and cigars.

Also home to the resident jazz band, The Nicole Duffell Organ Trio, the music group performs to a full house every weekend and it's not surprising to even find the band collaborating with local jazz gems of the likes of Jeremy Monteiro and Andrew Lim every now and then.

Alternatively, chill out at Tiger's Milk, which is the first Peruvian-inspired rooftop bar and grill in Singapore. Taking on the best flavours of Peru, we loved the lovely pisco-infused concoctions served at the bar by friendly bartenders.

I also really loved the drink Pisco Sour, which is served as part of the bar menu. Peruvian pisco, the base liquor, is a type of brandy which has an alcohol volume of 40.5%. The drink has other key ingredients like egg white and lime. Do make sure you try that if you're there. This is definitely one of those cocktails that you should be careful of, because it's so delicious that you won't realise how much you're drinking, because that pretty much happened to me.

Also, be sure to head out to the bar for a stunning little view of the night cityscape.

In line with its first anniversary, The Club is offering a special package for anyone looking for a lovely getaway. At $288, The Club offers guests the opportunity to celebrate their own anniversary.

This package includes a one night stay at The Club King Room (with a complimentary upgrade to The Club Suite), a congratulatory bottle of Prosecco, and $50 voucher to dine at The Disgruntled Brasserie (with a min. spend of $100).

Guests can also expect a welcome drink, complimentary breakfast and romantic touches to the room.

The Anniversary Package is available until September 2017.

Visiting the One Piece (ワンピース) Stores in Japan

The Mugiwara Store, a.k.a the One Piece store in Japan are a MUST-GO for fans! The last time I visited, they had 2 stores in Shibuya, but it's not listed on the store's official website. I have provided the addresses to Tokyo and Osaka One Piece stores at the bottom of this post.

Just note that the Shibuya store is on the 7th floor of the Shibuya Marui department store.

Once you step out of the lift, you'll feel like you're in One Piece land!

Please don't forget to take photos with your favourite characters (life-sized figurines right at the storefront!

Full of One Piece items, the stores sell a wide, impressive variety of the One Piece items! They sell everything from snacks, chocolates, clothes, socks, stationery, notebooks, figurines, manga books, bags, cups, stickers and much more!

They also have gachapon (ガチャポン - capsule-vending machines) specific to One Piece items! Also, I found something really awesome - a purikura (プリクラ - sticker picture booth) machine with One Piece themes! It was really really impressive and truly unique - an awesome Japanese experience.

Look out for some tablet games you can play as well in-store - I tried some of the games, and even though it was all in Japanese, I still enjoyed it no doubt!

Just know that if you're a One Piece fan, you'll definitely be able to find something you love!
